Process Explorer is an advanced task manager. It is an indispensable tool for both beginners and power users. I use it all the time to kill tasks that refuse to be killed, or find what which processes are still holding on to a particular file or DLL so it refuses to be deleted.

Alternatively, Process Explorer Portable is also available, which is stealth.

Glad to report Process Explorer v16.22 still runs merrily under WinXP,
despite SysInternals warnings to the contrary...;-)

Peter202 on 2019-04-04 08:38

I don't think it is portable. I just reinstalled Windows 7 and after launching Process Explorer i found that all settings are lost.

Midas on 2019-04-05 07:21

@Peter202: as noted above, Process Explorer saves settings to the Windows registry so is in fact not conventionally portable. It has been allowed, though, due to its nature and the trivial settings kept. If you want complete portability, check the Portable Apps package, also linked in the entry.

@freakzoid: the "Classic Firefox theme for SeaMonkey" may be what you're looking for: https://addons.mozilla.org/sk/seamonkey/addon/classic-firefox-theme-for-seam/ ...

I use both this and the SeaFox extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/addon/sea-fox/) and after some further tweaking, I am pretty satisfied with the results.

freakazoid on 2017-01-08 08:44

I use SeaFox as well, but I just use the Default theme.

Classic Firefox theme for SeaMonkey doesn't really make much of a difference in my layout, except a few icon changes.

Speaking of icons, use the Classic Toolbar Buttons addon to change some of the default icons. It doesn't change the Bookmark, RSS or Tab Throbber icons though.

Indeed. Please check the forum topic to see if your results match mine...

Version 4.5.2 available.

smaragdus on 2015-09-05 03:36

I needed to connect to an onion site and downloaded the latest version (5.0.2) but Australis makes Tor Browser absolutely terrible and unusable- I do not want to install heaps of add-ons just to restore features the Mozilla idiots removed. I had an earlier version of Tor Browser (3.6.0- before the advent of the abominable Australis) but the perpetual blinking of the Tor button urging for update is unbearable and cannot be disabled. It can be removed from the tool-bar but this way one cannot acquire new identities.

rbon on 2018-09-22 16:46

Starting from version 8.0 Tor project builds both version of TorBrowser: 32 bit and 64 bit.
- TorBrowser page: https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html
- TorBrowser repository: https://dist.torproject.org/torbrowser/8.0.1/
So You can add on description the link for download 64 bit version 'torbrowser-install-win64-8.0.1_en-US.exe'
